Jenny Wheatley NEAC
Jenny Wheatley trained at West Surrey College of Art and design and was one of the youngest ever people at the time to be elected to both the New English Art Club in 1983 and the Royal Watercolour Society in 1984. She has served on the councils of both societies and has organised a major show of RWS work in Malta to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the awarding of the George Cross. She has shown on number of occasions at the RA, RSW, RWA and most of the London Fairs, as well as being a finalist in a number of the London art prize shows. She was lucky enough to be invited as artist/recorder on a joint British/Indian army expedition to Ladakh in 1987 and was sponsored by CCA to paint her way across the Pacific cataloguing the change from Polynesia to Melanesia in 1988. She has exhibited in many London, provincial and overseas galleries with solo shows every year since she graduated, and her work can be seen through gallery representation at the major London Art fairs. She was an art expert judge on two series of Channel 4’s popular Watercolour Challenge series and her work resides in many public and private collections throughout the world, including those of HM the Queen Mother and HM the Queen, the National Collection of Malta and the National collection in China in Qindao.
