Since childhood, I have loved Encyclopedias and been fascinated by the exotic, varied cultures and remote parts of the world.

“From the Bosphorus to the Ganges” is an exhibition that scratches the surface of that desire to immerse myself in those beautiful countries so far away from the fields of Oxfordshire, where I was brought up.

The colours in India and Istanbul are mind blowing. Colour is everything. It takes a while to adapt my palette, capture the subtlety of the light and sudden pops of colour.

The generosity and peacefulness of these cultures underpins my fascination and desire to understand these places more.
