This year, I am offering you a collection of new paintings of historic British architecture and exotic collage – with a few still-life plant paintings thrown in for good measure.

The British buildings and shorelines were painted mainly on a trip I made to Kent last autumn.  The paintings and watercolour/collages come from another trip I made last year to the Scottish Highlands.

In my garden and architectural watercolour/collages I work from paintings and drawings done on site. I then build up the images, layer by layer, in an attempt to recreate the sense of magic and enchanted mystery that I experienced in those places.

As ever, colour is the linking theme as I try to use high-key colours in a way that, while bright, are also subtle in their changes and mood, and that capture the smell, taste and atmosphere of the places I have visited and the sights I have seen.

I hope that you enjoy my new collection of memories and observations from the places close to my heart.
