The paintings in this exhibition represent a snapshot of various countries I have visited over the decades. The Mediterranean is home to around twenty nations, all culturally very individual.

My first encounter with this magical place, was as a 21year old backpacker. I set off for 3 months in the late seventies, armed with some watercolours.

I found myself painting at the foot of the Acropolis, on the edge of a Venetian canal, or depicting the French Riviera. Now, 46 years later, I’m still in love !
