Founded in 1980, Fosse Gallery has regularly featured some of the most important contemporary British art, presenting work by artists of international standing. It remains in its splendid original Cotswold location in the centre of Stow-on-the Wold. Surrounded by stunning Cotswolds countryside and a short drive from Soho Farmhouse, the gallery is a 15 minute taxi ride from Kingham railway station (direct trains run hourly from London Paddington).
Fosse Gallery is often described as one of the most important UK art galleries and is internationally recognised, serving customers worldwide. We are proud of the reputation that we have earned by our friendly and professional approach. Owner, Sharon Wheaton, is well-known in the art world for her keen, experienced eye and her commitment to her gallery artists.
“Celebrating its 4th decade, I feel so proud of what the gallery has achieved and its continuing philosophy and outlook in today’s ever-changing art landscape. My pleasure is in selecting and staging curated exhibitions by talented emerging and established artists. Giving them a platform, supporting the value of and need for the Solo Exhibition, and the benefits of being a community that embraces artists, buyers and enthusiasts alike. The gallery is here to welcome, share, experience, stimulate and to enrich the senses of all who visit.” Sharon Wheaton
